Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Formatting Guidelines for the Full Papers:

The NERFJ is a peer-reviewed journal, therefore the submitted papers should contain the following:

  1. The title must be centered alignment, use Times New Roman, 14 font size and single spaced;
  2. Use Times New Roman, 12 font size, margins of 2.54 cm on both sides and single spaced for the rest of the papers;
  3. Authors’ names should be written in full (first name, initial(s) and surname);
  4. Authors’ affiliations should be clearly indicated (institution and country);
  5. Authors’ contact details (active email address) must be correctly written;
  6. The abstracts should consist of 250–300 words and provide 5–8 keywords, and both (abstract and keywords) should be written in italics;
  7. The full papers must not exceed 20 pages including abstract, keywords and references;
  8. The submitted papers should consist key components/headings such as abstract, keywords, introduction and/or background, literature review, theoretical and/or conceptual framework, research methodologies, results/findings and discussion, conclusion, and recommendations;
  9. When including tables and figures in your papers, only a maximum of five (5) each;
  10. When writing, use British English and American Psychological Association (APA), 7th Edition when referencing; and
  11. Full papers must be submitted in Microsoft Word.
